In 1972 and 1973, songwriter Cilla Leigh set to music several poems by Bob MacKenzie. During the same period, Bob MacKenzie wrote lyrics for several of Cilla Leigh's compositions. During 1973, four of these songs were recorded by Bob, in the studios of Sarnia, Ontario, radio station CHOK, with Cilla playing guitar and singing. A fifth song by MacKenzie and Leigh was recorded in 2001 by North Carolina songwriter and recording artist Alysson Light. Others of these songs remain unrecorded. |
